SIF, Idaho Workers' Compensation SMS Terms and Conditions

  • When you opt in to the service, we will send you an SMS message to confirm your signup.

  • You can cancel the SMS or MMS service at any time by texting ‘STOP’ to the short code from which you received the message. After this, you will receive a confirmation message, and you won’t receive any additional SMS or MMS messages from us.

  • You can get more information at any time by texting ‘HELP’ to the short code from which you received the message. We will respond with additional contact information to gain further assistance.

  • Message and data rates may apply for any messages that we send to you or you send to us.

  • The frequency and number of messages you receive will vary depending on your interactions with our organization.

  • Phone carriers and networks are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are between you and the Idaho State Insurance Fund also known as SIF, Idaho Workers’ Compensation (“SIF,” and govern your use of the website currently located at idahosif.org (referred to as the “Site”), and the products and services made available on or through the Site (referred to as “Services”). Please read the Terms carefully. SIF reserves the right to change the Terms with or without notice to you, and is effective upon publication on the Site. SIF encourages you to review these Terms when using the Site.

Your use of the Site and Services constitutes your consent and agreement to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Site or Services. If you are using the Site or Services on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have the legal authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If there are any differences between these Terms and SIF’s Privacy Policy, the Terms take precedence in the event of a conflict.

Use of Site and Services

You may use the Services only if you are authorized by SIF and, where applicable, by the entity you represent. You agree to use Services only for lawful purposes and only in connection with your authorized activities.

To access certain Services, you may be required to create an account or be issued credentials. You agree to (i) provide accurate and current information, (ii) maintain the confidentiality of your username, and password, (iii) promptly notify SIF of any unauthorized access or suspected compromise, and (iv) accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. SIF is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

Certain access to Services may allow you to submit, upload, transmit, or otherwise provide information, documents, forms, or communications to SIF (“Submissions”). You represent and warrant that you have the right and authority to provide such Submissions and that they are accurate, complete, and not misleading to the best of your knowledge. You understand that submission through access to Services does not guarantee receipt or processing, and you are responsible for verifying Submissions were received.

The Site and Services are not intended for emergency communications. If you have a time-sensitive matter or require immediate assistance, you should contact SIF through the phone number or other contact methods provided on the Site.

Information provided through the Site and access to Services does not alter or amend any policy, endorsement, coverage determination, claim decision, medical bill determination, or other official action by SIF. Coverage is governed solely by the applicable policy.

You consent to receive communications from SIF electronically (including through the Site, by email, or other electronic means) in connection with your use of the Services. You agree that electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Copyright and Trademark

The content on the Site is protected by copyright and/or trademark. Users are prohibited from copying, downloading, modifying, or distributing material from the Site for commercial use without SIF’s prior consent. All trademarks, service marks, and logos displayed on the Site are the property of SIF.

Governing Law, Jurisdiction and Venue

Use of the Site shall be governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict of law principles. By using the Site you submit to the jurisdiction of the State of Idaho, and any dispute related to the Site shall be brought in state or federal courts in Ada County, Idaho.

The content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as advice.

Termination

SIF may terminate or suspend your access to or use of the Site and Services, in whole or in part at any time, with or without notice. Upon termination, without liability to you or any third party, your right to use the Site will cease immediately and SIF may permanently or temporarily delete your account and related information.

Miscellaneous

Failure by SIF to enforce the Terms and rights contained herein does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

If any provision of the Terms is determined to be unenforceable, void, or unlawful, that provision will be deemed severed from the Terms and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provision.

We understand the importance of protecting the confidentiality and security of your personal information. We are committed to taking reasonable steps to protect your privacy.

Our Pledge

If you apply for a job or register with our Career Center, personal information may also be collected about your work and educational history.

Internally, we restrict access to nonpublic personal information contained in our records about you to our employees who need to know that information to provide services to you. How We May Disclose Personal Information

Our disclosure of personal information is limited as follows and in compliance with security protocols outlined herein:

  • Within SIF.
  • To third parties that help us manage or service our business. These third parties can include, but are not limited to, agents or brokers, other insurance companies, regulators, administrators, and service providers that provide services such as website hosting, data analysis, payment processing, SaaS providers and related infrastructure provision. The information voluntarily provided is limited to that necessary for the purpose of managing or servicing our business.
  • To insurance support organizations and consumer reporting agencies. Information that we share with these organizations, such as your claims history, may be retained by them and disclosed to others.
  • As we believe to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from government authorities pursuant to an order or statutory authority; (d) to respond to request from rating organizations, such as the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI), to which SIF belongs (e) to enforce your workers’ compensation policy terms; (f) to protect our operations; (g) to protect our and/or you or others’ rights, privacy, safety, or property; (h) to detect and prevent fraud; and (i) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.

Review of Your Personal Information

You, or your authorized representative, may submit a written request to review, copy and/or request changes to your personal information records in our possession in accordance with Idaho law.

Information Collected Through the Use of SIF’s Website

In addition to the personal information collection and sharing practices described in this Privacy Policy, we use cookies to help us recognize you when you return to our website and thus provide you with a more customized service. SIF also uses common tracking technologies provided by Google Analytics, which may include cookies or similar technologies. The information collected by SIF and Google Analytics through these technologies includes internet browser type, IP address, operating system version, and demographics. We use this information to enhance our ability to serve our current and prospective customers, for fraud detection and prevention, and for security purposes. We only collect information to the extent reasonably necessary to fulfill visitor requests or our legitimate business objectives. We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals or other similar mechanisms; however, users who do not want their data reported by Google Analytics may install the Google Analytics opt out browser add on. Continued use of our website is your acknowledgement and acceptance of these practices.

SMS/Mobile Data

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All sharing categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
